I love this quote from Sebene Salassi (author of You Belong and a delightful Substack Newsletter called Ancestors to Elements). She reminds me to notice what I take for granted and to shift into appreciation for big and little things that may not always be. I have so much to be grateful for these days even in the midst of challenge.
I am especially grateful for this community and the opportunity to practice with you. I enjoy finding new spaces for my mat in the beautiful Munson Hall to change my perspective. I appreciate all the teachers who lead us, and am sincerely surprised and grateful when you show up to practice with me on Sunday mornings. Thank you for your willingness to travel through the chakras with me over seven weeks. I’ve toyed with this idea for years, and it’s a joy to put it into action now. There are five more weeks to go — which will take us to the first week of Yoga Outside.
Yes, we will be outside at Andrew’s Greenhouse (just down the street from the library at 1184 South East Street in Amherst) in less than five weeks! It’s amazing to me that this will be our 9th Season! Huge gratitude to Jacqui and Andy Cowles for making their beautiful space available to us seven days a week 8:00 - 9:00 AM.

Meditation Opportunities
All are welcome to join Kim Deshaies for meditation practice immediately following her Wednesday morning yoga class in the downstairs room at the Munson Library. Kim will also lead the Meditation Practice Group this month on May 20th at 5:30 PM.
P.S. If you haven’t tried Kim’s class lately, I highly recommend her playful, gentle style of yoga. I learn something new every week! Thank you, Kim!
Meditation Practice Group
Mondays 5:30-6:30 PM Munson Library 1046 South East Street Amherst
Join our instructors for an on-going inquiry into the practice of meditation and mindfulness. This is a drop-in, interactive class led by various teachers on Mondays at 5:30 PM at Munson Library. Practice breathing, guided meditation, visualization, and gentle movements to deepen your meditation practice. Maria will lead the group this Monday, I’ll be back next week, and Kim will lead on the 20th. Just a few more weeks to get to this class! Evening classes will be discontinued when we move outdoors June 8th.
As always, our classes are offered freely to all. No registration required. Donations are gratefully accepted, but not expected. We want the benefits of community practice available to all.

Diana Peters-Ross will offer a Kripalu Vinyasa Flow class with music. Kripalu Vinyasa flow includes a dynamic slow flow connecting breath with movement.
Participants will move through a progression of postures, slowing building heat... then relaxing into a spacious shavasana. This class cultivates inner awareness, strength and flexibility.
Background music will play throughout the class to enhance rhythm and movement. Hope to see you there!

I love Tiffany’s Thursday morning class. She eases us in to dynamic flows that stretch and strengthen in her “gentle/not-gentle” sequences. In addition to Thursdays at the Munson, you can find Tiffany all around the valley!

My ITS visited me this morning and very very loud and tempestuous. Thank you for reminding me to practice self-empathy and welcoming it all.
